Dutch international defender Erik Pieters has become the Clarets’ first summer signing.
The Stoke City defender, 30, has signed a two-year deal with a further one-year option has joined up with Sean Dyche’s squad on their pre-season training trip to Portugal.
Pieters has spent six years in the Potteries, where he made almost 200 Premier League appearances, mainly at left back.

The six-foot defender spent the second half of the 2018/19 season on loan to French Ligue 1 side Amiens, where he made 15 appearances.
Pieters is a graduate of the famed-Academy of FC Utrecht, and after two seasons and 64 games for the Dutch side, he earned a high-profile move to PSV Eindhoven in 2013.
