U18 Head Coach Tony Philliskirk has been given the opportunity to build on solid foundations after earning a permanent contract in Burnley’s academy.
The former Clarets striker, who was appointed on an interim deal in December, has overseen an upturn in fortunes for the youth team.
And the 54-year-old, who travels with his side to face Cardiff City in the last game of the season on Saturday, said it was an easy decision to accept a new contract.
He said: “I took the call last week asking me if I would like to make the contract permanent, which obviously had a very simple answer.
