Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Edinson Cavani asked to be a substitute against Burnley.
Cavani was named on the bench for the game at Old Trafford, with the striker having struggled with various injuries this season.
Solskjaer stressed the importance of managing the 34-year-old's fitness carefully.
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer said: 'We've got to manage him well. He's not played or started three games in a week for a long time, so when I spoke to him he felt being a sub was the best thing.
