The Clarets fell to a 2-1 defeat as first team experience helped Forest take all three points on a windy afternoon at the Nigel Doughty Training Ground.
The hosts boasted a wealth of first team experience, as former Leeds United and West Ham defender Sam Byram lined up alongside ex-Derby County forward Jamie Ward and Portuguese defender Tobias Figureido.
And Forest got off to a dream start as Byram broke down the right before crossing for Ward, who was lurking in the area to slot home past Aiden Stone.
The Clarets’ first real chance was when Tinashe Chakwana was fed through on goal after beating the Forest back-line, however Forest midfielder Tyrese Fornah intercepted the strikers run, before clearing the danger.
