Dundee have demanded action from the Scottish FA over a delay to stopping play after Michael Mellon suffered a head injury during Sunday's Scottish Premiership match against St Johnstone.
Manager Tony Docherty had described the head injury suffered by striker Mellon, on loan from Burnley, as "almost life-endangering" after the incident during the match.
Mellon was left unconscious after the clash of heads with St Johnstone captain Liam Gordon, but referee David Munro failed to stop play immediately.
The game was eventually stopped after Dundee's club doctor Derek McCormack ran on to the pitch, with a lengthy delay while the player was attended to.
