Clarets’ forward Leah Embley capped off a superb campaign by being named Player of the Season across tier four of the women’s game.
Leah helped Burnley FC Women earn a second successive promotion as winners of the FA Women’s National League North.
And of the 48 teams playing at National League level across four regional divisions, she polled the most nominations as player of the match to win the overall national award.
Leah, second top scorer for the Clarets this season, collected her prize at the Women’s Football Awards hosted at St George’s Park by BBC sports presenters Dan Walker and Alex Scott.
