Juan Mata and Eden Hazard among Premier League stars in new Kick It Out advert as Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck admits every player has heard homophobic abuse from stands

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck claims every Premier League player has heard homophobic, biphobic and transphobic abuse from the stands in their career.

The Englishman is one of a number of Premier League stars recruited by Kick It Out for their new advert, with 24 players from a mixture of all 20 clubs reading out a poignant message on camera.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Manchester United's Juan Mata are among the big names, with the charity breaking new ground in their fight against discrimination in football.

One of the stronger statements in the minute-long advert comes from Welbeck, who states: 'We've all heard it', while Hazard adds: 'Abusive chanting is not okay and can affect anyone.
