James Tarkowski is expected to complete a move to Everton in the next few days, pending the outcome of a medical.
The 29-year-old is out of contract at Burnley at the end of this month and a departure from Turf Moor has been likely for some time.
Sportsmail reported last month that Everton were confident of agreeing a deal for Tarkowski, having fought off competition from Aston Villa and Fulham.
The defender has spent six and a half years at Burnley and helped them win promotion to the Premier League in 2016.
