Lewis Richardson has ended a memorable week with a call-up to the England Under-17 squad.
The striker was named among the substitutes for the Clarets’ Carabao Cup tie against Sunderland in mid-week in his first taste of the senior set-up at Turf Moor.
And the 16-year-old has now been included in the England squad for the up-coming Syrenka Cup tournament in Poland.
"It's really good news for him and well deserved," said Burnley Academy Manager Jon Pepper.
"I think his progress and form for the Under-23s this season - as well as a place on the bench for the first team - warrants it.
