Andre Gray has apologised for calling for homosexuals to be ‘burned’ in one of a number of vile tweets which surfaced on Saturday night.
The 25-year-old scored his first Premier League goal during Burnley’s 2-0 victory over Liverpool at Turf Moor but will be warned by the club over his future conduct.
The hate-filled tweets, which were from his verified account, were posted in 2012 when he was playing for non-league Hinckley Town.
