Clarets duo Jeff Hendrick and Kevin Long have been called up for the Republic of Ireland’s forthcoming UEFA EURO 2020 qualification matches against Georgia and Switzerland.
Hendrick recently won his 50th cap for Ireland, while Long scored his first goal for his country in last month's friendly win over Bulgaria.
Mick McCarthy’s side, who currently sit atop Group D, travel to Georgia on Saturday, October 12 and then face a testing trip to Switzerland on Tuesday, 15th October.
Robbie Brady, who was called up to the provisional squad, has not made the final cut for the double-header.
