Aston Villa striker Wesley has revealed he 'cried every day' and worried his career was over after he sustained a serious knee ligament injury in January.
The Brazil international, signed for £22million from Club Brugge last summer, suffered the damage in Villa's 2-1 win at Burnley on New Year's Day, and is currently working on his rehabilitation in his home country.
'The doctor explained to me that I broke my ligaments,' Wesley recalled. 'I kept crying every day, worried I would even play again. But my family supported me.

'I wanted to play, recover as quickly as possible to bring joy to the Aston Villa fans, who have always supported me, and also to return to the national team.
