Home Sweet Home For Westy

Ashley Westwood is looking to end a memorable season on a high in his new ‘home’.

Westwood’s efforts have helped the Clarets secure another season of Premier League football and earned him individual honours as the both the club’s official and players’ Player of the Year.

And the midfielder – who is topping the Clarets’ assists and in line for his 31st league start of the season in Sunday’s finale against Arsenal – admits he hasn’t enjoyed his football as much for a long time.

“For me it’s probably been the best season I’ve had since breaking into the team at Crewe,” said Westwood, whose first taste of regular League football came almost a decade ago.
