Rob Harker hit a goal in each half at Bramall lane this afternoon (Monday), in a 3-0 win which extended Steve Stone’s side unbeaten run to eight matches in the U23 Professional Development League.
Harker opened the scoring just five minutes into the game, after nodding home Anthony Glennon’s pin-point cross, before Adam Phillips doubled Burnley’s lead just 10 minutes later.
And the game was put out of sight in the second half, as Harker crashed home a header from Glennon’s corner, to give the away side all three points.
The former Bury Striker had not scored this season until this afternoon, but the towering forward was delighted to get off the mark and admitted the team’s hard work on the training ground paid off.
