A hat-trick by Evie Priestley sealed an emphatic league title win for Burnley FC Women ensured and promotion into the FA Women’s National League North, the third tier of women’s football.

The first Clarets goal to seal promotion was not long in arriving as, on 10 minutes, Leah Embley charged down the right wing before passing to Priestley, who was well positioned in front of goal to calmly slot out of reach of the keeper.
