The Dutch defender, signed from Stoke City, was given a warm welcome by his new team mates as he settles into the Clarets camp.
Pieters joined all the first team squad in being put through their paces by the coaches and Sports Science team in the evening sunshine at the dedicated traning camp on the Algarve.
