Former Premier League defender Clarke Carlisle has opened up about his latest struggle to cope with depression.
The ex-Burnley, Leeds and QPR player went missing last month before he was located by police in Liverpool — and has spoken about the incident for the first time.
Carlisle, 37, has previously spoken about his battle with depression and back in 2014 he spent six weeks in a psychiatric unit after he was hit by a lorry during a suicide attempt.
And now, three years on, the former PFA Chairman has revealed he was wandering around Liverpool trying to find a 'responsible' way to commit suicide.
