Manchester City will resist loan offers for midfielder James McAtee as Pep Guardiola wants him to be part of his treble-winning squad next season.
Mail Sport understands that meetings have already taken place involving first-team and academy staff and the plan is for the 20-year-old to start the campaign with the senior side.
McAtee has enjoyed a brilliant season at Sheffield United and was named their young player of the year following promotion to the Premier League, scoring nine times from 42 appearances.
The Blades are among several clubs wishing to take him on loan - newly-promoted Burnley are also keen - but City want to give their academy graduate an opportunity to develop alongside the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden.
