Sean Dyche felt the defeat to Everton was a natural reaction to “climbing a mountain” in the second half of the season.
The Clarets were already assured of a fourth successive Premier League campaign with games to play, as they ended a long season on the road with a 0-2 defeat at Goodison Park.
But Dyche offered a pat on the back for a job well done, despite a sluggish start costing them on Merseyside.
The Burnley boss said: “The lads have climbed a mountain in the second half of the season and there’s a human response.
