Sean Dyche expressed huge pride in his players after achieving a 15th place Premier League finish.
The Clarets saw out the season with a 1-3 home defeat to Arsenal, in an open game that could easily have turned out differently.
But Dyche preferred to look at the bigger picture of overcoming a trying first half of the season and securing a fourth successive top-flight campaign for the first time since 1971.
The gaffer said: “I was quite pleased with the performance against a good side and we could have been ahead at half time, and then it could have been a different game.
