Sean Dyche paid tribute to his players after they earned another entry in the Clarets’ record books thanks to a vital win at Brighton.
The current squad set a new mark last season in finishing seventh in the Premier League and qualifying for Europe.
But even during that remarkable run, a sequence of seven games without defeat as a Premier League club had never been achieved until a 3-1 victory at the Amex Stadium secured by a Chris Wood double and another Ashley Barnes penalty.
“Seven games unbeaten in the Premier League is tough,” said Dyche, whose side last tasted a league defeat on Boxing Day.
