Sean Dyche admits he is delighted at the fiercely competitive nature of his squad.
The Clarets head to Arsenal this weekend buoyed by their stunning 3-0 opening day win over Southampton.
And the gaffer feels the new arrivals have given a fresh edge to the friendly rivalry in the ranks.
Dyche said: “In terms of the new arrivals, I’ve been really pleased.
“Danny (Drinkwater) came in slightly later and he needs football to get his match fitness back and with Bailey (Peacock-Farrell) it’s slightly different.

“But in terms of the other two, Erik (Pieters) and Jay (Rodriguez), they have come in with that quite obvious attitude of wanting that shirt.
