Sean Dyche declared himself delighted with the Clarets’ pre-season as they won their final warm-up match against a resolute Parma side.
Jay Rodriguez’s second half brace finally unlocked the defence of an Italian side who put up far more resistance than Nice in midweek.
And Dyche is happy at the way his players have ramped up ahead of the Premier League curtain raiser at home to Southampton next weekend.
The Burnley boss said: “I’m pleased overall, and with many things. It’s nice to get the results and the winning mentality going, but you do want to be happy with the fitness and organisation and all the good habits.
