Dyche: Everyone Wants A Shirt

Sean Dyche is backing his class of 2019/20 after they set another modern-day best for the Clarets.

Burnley kicked off a fourth successive top-flight campaign for the first time since the early 1970s with a 3-0 win over Southampton.

An Ashley Barnes double and a sweet third goal from Johann Berg Gudmundsson made it the club’s biggest opening-day win since 1966.

And Dyche believes his current crop of Clarets is well equipped to take on another Premier League challenge.

“We’ve managed to work in the market best we can with the finances that are available, and I think we’ve done a good job with that,” said the Burnley boss.
