Dwight McNeil enjoyed another week to remember on his remarkable rise with his first two appearances for the England U21 side.
The Clarets wide man, 19, made his first start for Aidy Boothroyd’s young lions in Friday night’s friendly against Slovenia in Maribor, which ended 2-2.
And McNeil followed that with a competitive debut in England’s UEFA U21 Euro qualifying win over Austria in Milton Keynes, where he was involved in two goals in a convincing 5-1 victory.
Also on international duty, Jeff Hendrick played both games as Ireland’s hopes of qualifying for EURO 2020 took a dent.
