Steven Defour is an injury doubt as the Clarets look to upset the form book against Liverpool at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.
The midfielder is feeling the knee that underwent surgery at the start of the year.
And although manager Sean Dyche is confident it’s not a serious problem, he rates Defour – whose Burnley debut came in a 2-0 win over the Reds in August, 2016 – as ‘touch and go’.
“His knee is just a little bity niggly. It’s nothing too serious we don’t think,” confirmed the Burnley boss.
“He’s just at game six (into his comeback) now and when people have been out that long it takes a bit more than that.
