Steve Stone’s U23 side face Leeds United this evening (Monday), at Elland Road in the Professional Development League.
The Clarets still remain unbeaten in all competitions (12 matches), after beating Barnsley 2-1 last week at Curzon Ashton, thanks to a Lewis Richardson brace.
Right-back Ryan Cooney believes tonight is a good opportunity for the team to perform and claim another victory, at the hands of eighth placed Leeds.
Cooney said: “I think it’s going to be a tough game; Leeds are a good side at all levels.
“Under the lights at Elland Road as well adds that little bit of edge to the game.
