Clarke Carlisle has broken his silence over his mystery disappearance that sparked a Police manhunt in September.
The former Burnley defender, who has a history of battling mental illness, disappeared for 12 hours before he was found in Liverpool.
His wife Carrie has since spoken about the ordeal, but Clarke himself reached out to well wishers on Thursday for the first time, thanking them for all their messages.
'I can't begin to thank you all for your love and support in recent weeks,' he tweeted.
