Burnley's Sean Dyche: British bosses won't get top Premier League jobs

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has said he believes it is "highly unlikely" that a British manager would get a major Premier League job soon.

Dyche told the Lancashire Telegraph he felt there were British bosses capable of filling the league's biggest roles but said they were not thought of "in the same way" as counterparts from overseas.

His comments came after former Arsenal star Paul Merson suggested he should be a contender if there was change of management at the Emirates Stadium, where Arsene Wenger is under increasing pressure.

Merson said Dyche had "done brilliantly" at Turf Moor and "would go in and liven it up.
