Burnley manager Vincent Kompany says it is a "feeling of relief" to have Darko Churlinov back after the forward contracted blood poisoning in June.
Churlinov spent more than four months out before returning for North Macedonia's European Championship qualifier against Ukraine on Saturday.
The 23-year-old could potentially feature in Burnley's Premier League match against Brentford this weekend.
"His story was quite scary. We feared for him," Kompany said.
Churlinov joined the Clarets from Stuttgart in 2022 and has made a total of 13 appearances for the club.
Kompany said Burnley had feared he might have to "take a season out" to recover.
