And his side got off to a dream start, as Michael Fowler opened the scoring after eight minutes.
However Wednesday struck back with two goals, forcing the Clarets to fight back until the end.
And when Richard Taylor was fouled in the area in stoppage time, Burnley were awarded a penalty.
After a lengthy stoppage in play, as Taylor recieved treatment before going to hospital, after a nasty blow to the mouth in the collision.
