Andre Gray has requested a personal hearing to answer an FA charge over homophobic tweeting.
The Burnley striker appeared to condone the killing of gay people in social media posts dating back to 2012, one reading: 'Is it me or are there gays everywhere? #Burn #Die #MakesMeSick'
Gray is facing the prospect of a lengthy ban, fine and a mandatory education course despite the offences taking place while he played for Hinckley Town.
The FA are looking at tweets over an eight-week period, during which Gray also made an alleged racist remark.
