Joey Barton is set to re-join Burnley on a free transfer after leaving Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
Barton, 34, joined Burnley in 2015 and helped them to promotion to the Premier League last season, when he was named the club's player of the year.
He opted to leave to play for Glasgow club Rangers in the summer but played only eight games before being suspended for his part in a training ground bust-up following a 5-1 thrashing by rivals Celtic, and his contract was terminated last month.
BREAKING: Joey Barton set to re-sign for Burnley on a short-term deal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
