Burnley have offered a contract to free agent Andros Townsend and held talks with Troyes over winger Wilson Odobert.
Clarets defender Luke McNally is wanted on loan by Stoke, following a successful loan spell at Coventry in the second half of last season.
Townsend has been without a club since his departure from Everton earlier this summer, and the winger has featured for Burnley during pre-season.
The former England international has a vast amount of Premier League experience having played over 200 times in the division.
Townsend started out at Tottenham, who loaned him out nine times, and also played for Newcastle and Crystal Palace prior to joining Everton.
