George Boyd has begun to seriously consider leaving Burnley after rejecting a one-year contract offer from the club, Sportsmail understands.
The midfielder’s current terms expire this summer and a number of Premier League and Championship clubs are interested in securing his services for free.
Boyd produced a man-of-the-match display and scored the only goal in Tuesday's victory over Stoke City that moved Burnley away from the relegation zone and survival against the odds looks close to being secured.
After a long delay Burnley offered the 31-year-old just a 12-month extension last month but Boyd has made it clear he wants a deal lasting at least two further seasons.
