Burnley have made enquiries about Eibar midfielder Gonzalo Escalante.
The 24-year-old can play as a holding midfielder or on the right and Eibar would sell the Argentine for around £6million.
The Clarets have been active so far in the transfer window, having already brought in three permanent signings.
Sean Dyche is hoping to improve his side's 16th-place finish last season after a positive start to their Premier League campaign.
Dyche will hope to utilise some of the £30million received for the sale of Michael Keane to help mount a serious campaign next season.
