Burnley are stepping up their attempts to tie captain Ben Mee down on a new contract.
Mee's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and includes an option of a further 12 months.
The 32-year-old is one of ten members of Sean Dyche's squad whose contracts expire in the summer.
But resolving defender Mee's future is top of Burnley's current list of contract priorities and further talks are scheduled this week.
Speaking earlier this season Mee, who joined Burnley in 2012 from Manchester City, confirmed he hopes to finish his career at Turf Moor.
