Burnley have agreed a £5million deal for Huddersfield Town's Nahki Wells after having an offer for Lorient's Majeed Waris rejected.
Wells, born in Bermuda, was a key member of the Terriers side which won promotion to the Premier League in their play-off final success over Reading in May, but has not played a minute of football so far this season.
He now looks set for Burnley, where he would be the second attacking addition in a week, following the capture of Chris Wood from Leeds.
Wells scored 49 goals in 153 matches at Huddersfield, following his move from Bradford in 2014, and became a hugely popular figure with Terriers fans.
