Robbie Brady stepped up his return to first team action with his first 90 minutes since pre-season in the U23s stalemate with QPR.
The Clarets wide-man is yet to feature for the first team this season after suffering a fractured rib at the end of July.
But after a 75-minute run out in a behind closed doors game last week, the Ireland international came though unscathed against Rangers to edge close to contention.
The Clarets dominated their latest PDL game at Turf Moor, but failed to make the breakthrough despite carving out a number of good chances.
