Andre Gray's twitter account reveals homophobic tweets from 4 years ago

A Premier League star has caused uproar after posting alleged homophobic and abusive tweets.

Burnley striker Andre Gray may have had supporters jumping for joy after his goal against Liverpool today, but his behaviour on social media will leave many with a sour taste.

Offensive tweets from as long ago as 2011 have been re-tweeted by disgruntled fans, with Gray making alleged comments about gay people and foreigners.

In one particularly venomous tweet from January 9 2012, he writes: 'Is it me or are there gays everywhere?
