Defenseman Zach Bogosian has been named the Buffalo Sabres nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.
The King Clancy is awarded to the NHL player who “best exemplifies leadership on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”
Bogosian was selected as the Sabres’ nominee in part for his work through the Bogo Bunch Foundation. Through the foundation Bogosian has raised more than $100,000 for Roswell Park. The organization has also raised money for relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Bogosian, along with Ryan O’Reilly, also worked together to donate a suite to each Sabres home game this season to a charitable cause.
