ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reports that the Sharks are hiring the former Devils coach.
One more job is filled, as ESPN's Pierre Lebrun reports that the San Jose Sharks will hire former Devils head coach Peter DeBoer. There were rumblings that the Sabres were interested in DeBoer following the Mike Babcock decision.
DeBoer has coached in the NHL for seven years, three with the Florida Panthers and most recently four years with the Devils. He has a 217-200-77 record. The Devils fired DeBoer this season due to a 12-17-7 start. He was replaced by the two-man team of Adam Oates and Scott Stevens.
