When the horn blew to end the Sabres’ last two games, Linus Ullmark went into celebration mode. The rookie goaltender glided from his crease and raised both arms. He then punched the ice with his blocker and finished the routine by nimbly kicking his right pad in the air.
The way he’s playing, he’ll have more opportunities for postgame revelry.
Ullmark is 2-0 in back-to-back starts for Buffalo, allowing one goal in each game and stopping 56 of 58 shots for a .966 save percentage.
“I think we just as a team have become better and better,” Ullmark said.
