The Sabres added a forward for Rochester in Akeson, but refuted reports that the team had also locked up Cal O'Reilly.
The Sabres have signed former Flyers right winger Jason Akeson according to Tim Murray at the team's introductory press conference for Jack EIchel.
Akeson, 25, spent a majority of last season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He was second on the Flyers' AHL squad in scoring with 23 goals and 30 assists in 57 games. He also played in 13 games with Philadelphia, but failed to record a point. He's played four seasons in the AHL, scoring at least 50 points in every one.
