The Buffalo Sabres announced today that they’ve re-signed defenseman Justin Falk to a one-year contract extension.
Falk, who was signed to provide organizational depth in Rochester, has spent the majority of the season in Buffalo thanks to the litany of injuries the Sabres have suffered along the blue line.
In his 35 games with the big club, Falk has posted four assists in 35 games. His +/- of 0 and his 0 penalty minutes this season are indicative of how little he’s noticed on the ice - not a bad thing for a guy who was supposed to play in the AHL this year.
