The Sabres added depth to their left side on defense with their second signing of the day.
The Sabres have added depth to their left-handed side of their defensive unit, signing former Islander Matt Donovan to a one-year deal according to Frank Seravalli of TSN.
Donovan, 25, spent 12 games with the Islanders last season, notching three points. He spent a majority of the year with Bridgeport in the AHL. His best year came the season prior, scoring two goals and 14 assists in 52 games.
Standing at 6'0" and 205 lbs., Donovan was originally selected by the Islanders in the fourth round of the 2008 draft.
