The Buffalo Sabres head coach, Phil Housley, shared some bad news today on forward Kyle Okposo. He told the media after practice that the forward has to return to Buffalo for further evaluation.
The 30-year-old went down after taking a punch in a fight from New York Rangers defenseman Anthony DeAngelo last Friday.
He left the game after the punch and hasn’t been on the ice since. Early reports were promising and he traveled with the team to New Jersey.
However, the bad news today makes you worry about Okposo’s health. If you don’t remember, two summers ago he battled a complication from a concussion that resulted in him being admitted to the intensive-care unit.
