With Victor Antipin likely sidelined for the remainder of the season, and just a few games left, the Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Matt Tennyson from the AHL’s Rochester Americans.
The Sabres visit the Leafs tonight for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
Tennyson, 27, has spent most of the season with the Amerks. He’s appeared in 49 games and has contributed three goals and eight assists for 11 points. He’s also put up 40 penalty minutes and is overall a minus-20 on the season.
Tennyson has previously appeared in 14 NHL games for the Sabres this season.
