The Buffalo Sabres announced they claimed forward Jordan Nolan off of waivers today from the Los Angeles Kings. He’s 28-years-old and son of former Sabres head coach Ted Nolan. The Sabres open Nolan can bring size (6’3”, 219 lbs.) and speed to the bottom six of their lineup.
While with the Kings he won two Stanley Cups playing a fourth line role. Nolan isn’t a big point producer with a career-high of six goals and ten points in a single season. However, his experience and energy provide depth to the lineup.
Nolan has one more year remaining on his current contract that he signed back in February of 2015.
