The Buffalo Sabres lost in regulation to the Pittsburgh Penguins yesterday afternoon by the score of 3 to 2. Since the Sabres failed to get a point yesterday, they became the first team in the league this year to be eliminated from playoff contention.
Despite this, the Sabres are back in action this afternoon to finish this weekend back-to-back against the Penguins.
